NSA CNSA 2.0 FAQ reinforces PQC migration planning

The NSA’s updated CNSA 2.0 FAQ highlights why organisations with long-lifecycle secure systems should begin planning their post-quantum migration now.
From cryptographic guidance to PQC migration planning
The National Security Agency has published an updated FAQ on the Commercial National Security Algorithm Suite 2.0 and quantum computing.
The document provides guidance on CNSA 2.0 requirements and the transition toward quantum-resistant algorithms for national security and other high-assurance systems. It highlights ML-KEM for key establishment and ML-DSA for digital signatures, aligned with FIPS 203 and FIPS 204.
For secure elements, smart cards, embedded devices, and certification-driven deployments, the guidance reinforces an important point: PQC migration planning is no longer only a future research topic. It is becoming a practical planning requirement for systems with long deployment cycles, certification timelines, and hardware constraints.
jNet Secure supports this transition through JavaCard OS platforms, secure element engineering, applet development, PQC integration, and certification-aligned software delivery. Download the full NSA CNSA 2.0 FAQ below.
